Joel Aldridge

Joel Aldridge - Class of 2008

As we are praying for our men and women in the armed forces, let us remember Tabernacle Christian School’s own Joel Aldridge. Joel graduated from TCS in 2008. Although he worked for a while after graduating from high school, Joel had the dream of serving his country. In the fall of 2011, he took steps towards fulfilling that dream by enlisting in the United States Army. On July 3, 2012, Joel began his basic training at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

During his training he received commendation for his skill in marksmanship as well as special recognition for his skill in handling and tossing grenades. After graduating from Basic Combat Training on September 14, 2012, Joel headed to Richmond, Virginia, to begin his Advanced Individual Training in Logistics. He is scheduled to graduate from AIT on November 21, 2012. Joel is blessed to be able to serve his country. In a recent letter to his mother, Joel commented that he is thrilled for the chance to give back to America and with the opportunities military life affords him. Indicating that he loves this new chapter in his life, Joel writes, “I can’t believe I am getting paid for this.”
